Program Description
The CICE Program at Georgian College is designed for students with diverse learning challenges who require academic accommodations and curriculum modifications.
Program Highlights:
- Core and Integrated Courses: Students enhance academic and vocational skills through personalized and inclusive coursework.
- Field Placements: Opportunities to apply learning in real-world settings to prepare for entry-level employment.
- Customized Support: Learning Facilitators provide accommodations, modified coursework, tutoring, and support sessions to meet individual needs.
- Life and Work Preparation: Focus on developing independence, self-advocacy, and readiness for adult life and the workforce.
Graduates earn an Ontario College Certificate upon successful completion of the program.
Admission Requirements
- Education Background:
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or Ontario Secondary School Certificate (OSSC), OR
- Be at least 19 years of age on the first day of classes.
- Academic Needs:
- Demonstrated need for curriculum modification, accommodations, and Learning Facilitator support.
- Independence:
- Ability to function independently without requiring constant supervision.
