Program Description

The CICE Program at Humber College offers adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities the opportunity to experience college life, build independence, and connect with a supportive and inclusive community.

Program Highlights:

  • Inclusive Learning Environment: Promotes confidence, self-advocacy, and the unique value of every individual.
  • Elective Options: Students can explore interests in Culinary, Photography, Spa Management, Hospitality, Journalism, Travel/Tourism, Business, Landscape Technician, and more.
  • On-Campus Work Placements: Starting in semester 2, students gain valuable hands-on experience in real-world settings.
  • Transformative Learning: Builds collaborative communities that encourage growth and self-discovery.

Graduates earn an Ontario College Certificate upon successful completion of coursework and field placements.

Admission Requirements

  1. Disability Documentation:
    • Applicants must have a documented developmental or intellectual disability.
  2. Age Requirement:
    • Be 19 years or older on the first day of classes (day after Labour Day, the first Monday in September).
  3. Application Process:
    • Participate in an admissions interview to discuss program suitability, interests, and goals.
